The optional Wellness add-on covers routine care like annual exams, vaccinations, dental cleanings, and preventive treatments.
You pay your vet directly, then submit a claim through our app or website. Once your annual deductible is met, we reimburse you the percentage you chose (70%, 80%, or 90%) of covered costs. Most claims are processed within 48 hours and funds are deposited directly into your bank account.
Yes, like all pet insurance providers, there is a standard waiting period. Accidents are covered after 2 days, and illnesses are covered after 14 days from your policy start date. This is standard across the industry and helps keep premiums affordable for everyone.
Yes! VerusPets works with any licensed veterinarian in the United States. There are no network restrictions. You can visit your regular vet, any specialist, or any emergency animal hospital and still be covered.
Pre-existing conditions (conditions that existed before enrollment or during the waiting period) are not covered. Cosmetic procedures, breeding costs, and experimental treatments are also excluded. Routine and preventive care is only covered if you add the Wellness plan to your policy.
